2010 National King Classic Youth Football Tournament - FAQ
1) Where will the fields be located?
Answer: Most of our Fields will be located in the Fort Bend ISD area. All of these fields are secured Middle or High School regulation fields complete with score boards, bleachers, concession stand and clean restrooms.
2) What is the cost of the Tournament?
Answer: Costs of the Tournament will be $275.00 Team Fee, $10.00 Coaches Fee, $20.00 Player Fee (min. 20 Players). Your Team Fee ($275.00) will be due by November 10, 2010 or sooner. We do accept all major credit cards so this can be secured over the phone or online. This secures your spot in our event and allows us to put out bracket early. Your full registration packet will be due by November 10, 2010. This should include all documents associated with the Registration Packet and Fees.
3) Will all our games be at one location?
Answer: No. Even though Houston, Texas is known to have some of the best Football Players in the Country, there is not a venue in the greater metropolitan area that has multiple football fields available to hosts an event of this size. We have secured fields within Fort Bend ISD which is located on the Southwest side of Houston. We will keep all age group divisions between two fields. You will have a “Winners” field and a “Consolation Field”. If you lose, your team will finish out their games on the Consolation field. Bottom line, if you are winning, you stay on the Winner’s Field. If you lose, you travel to the Consolation Field. None of these fields are farther than 15 minutes a part.
4) Do you have discounted Hotel Rates?
Answer: Yes. Our Host Hotel will be the Marriott Westchase. We have more than 300 rooms reserved at this Hotel. At this Hotel, we will also have a Information Desk set up during the tournament that will have up to date brackets and scores from all games.
We have also secured 400 other Hotel rooms within a two-mile radius of the Marriott Westchase with room rates between $78.00 to $89.00 per night (breakfast depending on hotel). Most of these rooms reserved are double beds. Your team Representative will be responsible for booking your teams’ block of rooms directly with the Hotel. We have a list of preferred Hotels listed on our website.

5) Do you have discounted Car Rental Rates?
Answer: Yes. We have set up discounted rates with HERTZ Car Rentals. Just mention KING Classic. We have also alerted CAPPS VAN Rentals at both the Hobby Airport Locations and IAH Locations about our out of town teams. 6) What are the Rules of the Tournament?
Answer: See Packet
7) What are the Divisions?
Answer: We will have five (5) Divisions: 6U Flag, 7U Tackle, 8U Tackle, 10U Tackle, 12U Tackle. Rules for each Division are detailed in the registration packet.
8) How many Referees will you have per game?
Answer: For the Flag games, we will two referees per game. For all other games, there will be three referees governing the games. All Referees are TASBO certified.
9) Can our Cheerleaders participate?
Answer: Yes. Your cheerleading squad is encouraged to participate at this event. There must be a minimum of five (5) participants and a maximum of twenty-five (25). The flat rate to bring your cheer squad to the Tournament is $125.00 per squad. Your squad will be allows access to all event venues and will be allowed to participate on the sidelines. In addition, the Home Team’s squad will be allowed to participate during half-time. If the Home Team does not have a cheer squad or elects not to perform, the visiting team will have the option to perform during half-time. Half-time is five (5) minutes so you must be ready to go out and perform.
10) What time is team check-in for the event?
Answer: Check in for all teams will take place at the Marriott Westchase. Check in time starts at 4:00 PM and will conclude 10:30 PM. We will not have time to check teams in on Saturday morning. Games begin promptly at 7:30 AM.

12) What do the Winner’s of this year’s Tournament receive?
Answer: All winners from this year’s tournament will receive:

4) Team Fee Waiver into the 2011 King Classic Tournament
5) Player Fee Discounted to $10.00 per player for the 2011 KING Classic Tournament
6) Coaches Fee Waived for the 2011 King Classic Tournament
